Meet Maggie

Maggie is a female baby white-tailed prairie hare (also known as jackrabbits). She had been attacked by a magpie, which is how she got her name when she was brought to Living Sky Wildlife Rehabilitation in Season 1 of STAYING WILD.

Like all young bunnies, Maggie was very fragile. The first four days at the centre are critical for these little creatures. They need to learn how to take nourishment from syringed formula and gain enough weight. They can also be literally scared to death. Often it is touch and go with “one paw in the grave” the whole time. But if they can make it through to day four, their chances for survival and a return to the wild increase dramatically.

Does little delicate Maggie have what it takes to be one of the lucky ones and survive four days and beyond? Watch Season 1 of STAYING WILD to find out!
